Since 1914 · Every impact, on the record. No exceptions.

Impact monitoring for high-value freight.

Impact Register manufactures mechanical impact recorders that document the shocks and vibrations your freight experiences in transit. We are the source of truth. G-force sensing needs no power or signal; a battery powers the chart-drive motor. The Savage Impact Register patent was issued in 1915, part of our history of mechanical impact monitoring.

Two recorders for high-value freight

The RM-3WE and GEMM are the continuous, multi-axis impact recorders at the center of our line, each writing a complete, time-stamped record of transit conditions, with no power needed for G-force sensing and no signal required. A battery powers the motor that advances the chart.

Since 1914

More than a century of manufacturing experience

In 1915, William P. Savage received U.S. Patent No. 1,125,731 for the Impact Register. From rail-era freight to missile nose cones to today's satellite and semiconductor moves, Impact Register has been writing the record for more than a century.
