Our Products
Impact Register Inc. manufacturers various types of impact recorders that provide the most satisfactory instrumentation for each specific application at the lowest possible cost
RM-3WE
The RM-3WE Accelerometer is used to record acceleration in three axes. Each stylus records its respective impacts on a one-inch space on the chart. The recorder is pneumatically damped and is available in a wide range of frequencies and capacities. It's a very versatile instrument for use in all types of transportation and impact testing. It's available with 7, 14, 30, 60, 90 and 120-day chart speeds. Custom chart speeds are available.
GEMM Recorder
The GEMM (G-Environmental Mini-Monitor) Recorder permanently registers all shock and vibration your product receives in the transportation and handling environment as well as in the package testing laboratory. The GEMM records the time, direction and magnitude of all forces. It will record when, how far and on what corner the package was dropped. The recorder notes the exact time on a wax coated chart. It's available with 14, 33, 60 and 90-day chart speeds. Custom chart speeds are available.
2WME Recorder
Impact Register Inc. is finding wide usage in many manufacturers' laboratories for pre-transportation testing of packaged merchandise on Conbur machines and vibration tables. This way the adequacy of both the packaging and the product can be determined. The 2WME Recorder is used to record longitudinal and vertical impacts simultaneously on railroad cars and in trucks. This recorder is available with 30, 60 and 90-day chart speeds. Custom chart speeds are available.
ME Impact Register
The ME Recorder is used primarily for determining and recording impact speed of freight cars, and when excessive impacts occur. The recorder measures the longitudinal axis only. This information assists in improving freight car handling and in reducing damage to lading. The ME Recorder is available with 30, 60 and 90-day chart speeds. Custom chart speeds are available.
TH-E Recorder
The TH-E (Temperature and Humidity) Recorder was developed to record dry bulb temperature from -25°F to +150°F and relative humidity from 0% to 100%. Temperature is recorded on a 3-1/2 inch space on the chart. The relative humidity is recorded on a 2-1/2 inch space. Special design makes it possible to record information even when subjected to shocks as encountered in all types of transportation. The recorder is available with 30, 60 and 90-day chart speeds. Custom chart speeds are available.
Drop (N) Tell System
The Drop-N-Tell indicator is a low-cost device that records when a G range has been exceeded. After the unit has activated, it can't be mistakenly reset or easily tampered with unless the reset method is known. The device is resettable up to 50 times.
It's easily mounted to the product or package with an adhesive backing applied at the factory. Two No. 6.32 screws may also be used if desired.
To make sure the system works, two labels are included with each Drop (N) Tell indicator. One is a warning label to be attached to the top or side of the shipping container alerting all handlers of the existence of Drop (N) Tell on or inside the package and explaining its function. The second label should be affixed to the bill of lading to alert the carrier and consignee that the shipment has been monitored. The entire system is printed in red so it can be seen easily. (G-ranges available: 5, 10, 15, 25, 50, 100)
Tip (N) Tell System
The Tip (N) Tell is a low-cost system to warn of concealed damage in a container that has been tipped in transit. It's so sensitive that it will indicate if a container has been gently tipped on either side or completely up-ended.
Because the glass beads in the Tip (N) Tell are at angles from the correct shipping position, tipping the container will spill the beads into the white area of the arrow and alert the consignee to check for damage.
To make sure the system works, two labels are included with each Tip (N) Tell indicator. One is a warning label to be attached to the top or side of the shipping container explaining the function of Tip (N) Tell. The second warning label should be affixed to the bill of lading to alert the carrier and consignee that the shipment has been monitored. The entire system is printed in brilliant red so it can he seen easily.
MB Accelerometer
The MB Accelerometer is a single axis, hermetically sealed and resettable mechanism. It records impacts of plus or minus G. and can be calibrated at the factory from 3G to 10G. The MB is small (2-3/4" diameter x 1-3/8" high), weighs 6 ounces and is waterproof. This unit doesn't require a chart.
